The Cape St. Claire Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is dedicated to supporting the education and well-being of all students at Cape St. Claire Elementary. Our mission is to strengthen and grow our school community, enriching not only the lives of our students but also their families.

We believe that fostering a strong partnership between parents, teachers, and staff is essential to creating a positive and enriching educational environment. Through fundraising, volunteer efforts, and community-building events, we provide resources and opportunities that enhance the student experience both inside and outside the classroom.

Additionally, we recognize that supporting our faculty and staff is a key step in ensuring the overall well-being of our school. By working together, we strive to make Cape St. Claire Elementary a place where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

This is my second year on the PTO board and my first serving as President. My husband, Mark, and I moved here two years ago from Richmond, Virginia but I am originally from Ohio (Go Bucks!). We have two boys attending Cape St. Claire: James (third grade) and Jack (Kindergarten). Prior to being a stay-at-home mom, I worked as a social worker in an alternative school. I love sports, reading, gardening and thrifting vintage art. I look forward to helping this be a wonderful year for our Seagull Community.

We moved to Cape St Claire 4 years ago and I can not imagine living anywhere else. My husband Brian and I have three kids, Riley, Keegan, and Brennan, who are going into Kindergarten, 1st and 3rd grade this year. I am originally from Prince George’s County and when I am not working as VP of the PTO, I am a School and Clincial Counselor. My family and I love hanging with our dogs, neighbors, family and friends outdoors fishing, boating and doing all of the awesome things the area has to offer.

This is my 4th year on the PTO board and I’m excited to return as Treasurer! My husband, Jeff, and I have two boys attending Cape: Malcolm (2nd grade) and Ewan (4th grade). In addition to PTO responsibilities I work full-time as the school counselor at Windsor Farm Elementary. You might see me jogging through Cape or swimming at the Cape pool in my spare time. I look forward to assisting our staff and parents with any financial needs that will help make this school year the best for our little seagulls!

For the past two years, I served as Vice President, and I am excited to take on this new role as Secretary. My husband, Drew, and I are both lifelong residents of the Broadneck Peninsula and he even attended Cape many moons ago. I am a proud mother of two wonderful sons: Bennett, a 2nd grader at Cape, and Preston, who is 4 years old. This year marks my second year as the yearbook editor, and I will also be chairing both the spirit wear and book fair committees. I look forward to working with all of you to make this year a great one!
